There is something special about island afternoons on Koh Samui. Warm light, soft ocean breeze, slow moments by the sea, and the effortless beauty that comes with tropical living.
Recently, I had the pleasure of modeling for a jewelry brand from the Netherlands, pairing the collection with selected Mina Essence looks during a photo shoot at Dune Beach Club in Lamai Beach. We were looking for a space with a modern island atmosphere, minimal interiors, natural textures, and relaxed beach energy, and Dune felt like the perfect match.
We spent the afternoon between the beach club and the sea, capturing the collection in different corners of the space before moving onto the beach during sunset light.
Located right by the sea in Lamai, Dune Beach Club combines modern minimal interiors with a relaxed boho chic atmosphere. Natural textures, warm wood details, soft sand tones, and open beach views create a beautiful setting both for spending the day and for creative projects like this shoot.
It’s the kind of place where you arrive for lunch and end up staying until sunset, moving slowly between the beach, music, cocktails, and golden hour by the sea.

The shoot was photographed and creatively styled by Carmen van Vuure, who paired the jewelry pieces throughout the session. Together, we selected matching Mina Essence looks to complement each set naturally within the island setting.
The styling moved between elegant black silhouettes, natural linens, textured fabrics, and warm gold tones, keeping the feeling effortless, feminine, and connected to the environment around us.
For the first series, we paired layered gold jewelry with Noir Maxi Dress. The textures worked beautifully together in the warm afternoon light, creating a mood inspired by island evenings and understated resort dressing.

As the afternoon continued, we moved directly onto the beach and continued shooting with a more minimal styling direction. Noir Maxi Dress & the ocean inspired jewelry set contrasted beautifully against the soft neutral sand and ocean tones.
The simplicity of the look allowed the jewelry details and natural surroundings to stand out effortlessly.

Later in the afternoon, we moved back into the beach club and paired colorful stone jewelry pieces with linen Coco Slip Dress.
This part of the shoot felt playful, relaxed, and deeply connected to island living, fresh coconuts, warm skin tones, natural fabrics, and elevated summer style.

We ended the shoot by the sea during the final moments of the day. The sunset itself was soft and subtle that evening, but the calm tones of the sky and ocean created a beautiful atmosphere for the final images.
The last series carried a quieter mood, golden, white & coral beautifully handmade jewelry combined with Bahari Wrap Skirt Natural was the perfect look for the beach moment.

If you are visiting Koh Samui and looking for a beautiful beachside setting to spend the day, Dune Beach Club is truly worth discovering.
