Last night I joined the special Samui Summer Jazz 2026 event for the very first time, and it was truly a memorable experience. The evening began with one of the most stunning sunsets I have seen, as the sky slowly changed into warm shades of gold and orange over the ocean. It was the perfect setting for a night of music, elegance, and celebration.
The event took place at Air Bar at InterContinental Koh Samui, a venue well known for having some of the most breathtaking sunsets and one of the best atmospheres on the island. Perched above the sea, Air Bar offers panoramic views, a relaxed luxury vibe, and the kind of setting that makes every sunset feel magical.
As the sun disappeared below the horizon, the music began. We were treated to an incredible performance by Michael Varekamp Quintet ft. Alexander Beets, who brought wonderful energy and style to the evening. Live jazz under the open sky, with the sound of the sea nearby, created a truly special atmosphere.
What made the night even more meaningful was sharing it with wonderful people I have met during the last couple years on the island. It reminded me how beautiful it is when music and art bring people together. Here, my dear friend Catharina, @islandmamaya, is captured hosting the event with elegance and warmth.
I always love seeing more cultural, art, and music events happening on Koh Samui, and I sincerely hope many more will come in the future. Nights like this add something truly special to island life.
For the occasion, I joined the evening in Mina Essence, wearing a classic Coco Linen Dress paired with the Horizon Sarong in Turquoise, the perfect look for a tropical sunset jazz night.
